THE LOCATION
The House of Pigmalione is sited on a hill, in
the heart of a high quality vacational residential
area, at short distance from Cala Canyelles, one
of the most beautiful and uncontaminated inlets
of the Costa Brava, at 2,5km from the centre of
Lloret de Mar and, at the same time, in a quiet
and favoured neighbourhood for its peace and privacy
even though it is surrounded by other villas of
equal quality. It is 100 metres far from the supermarket,
from one of the best restaurants of the region,
from a bar that is a meeting point with its 25
metres swimming pool, from tennis courts, centre
sub, and so on.
The house is constituted by 4 storeys, 3 built
ones and one with the garden with private swimming
pool; besides it has several terraces with wonderful
spots for good clicks. It has a quite well equipped
kitchen, living room with TV satellite, 4 bedrooms,
three bathrooms and external barbecue. In addition
it can count on a photographic studio well equipped
with continuous lights, flash and make-up room
with quality products. Connection Wi-Fi for the
notebooks of the models without surcharge.
It is 30 km. far-away from the historical city
of Gerona and 75 Km from Barcelona. In 15 minutes
by car or by bus it is possible to reach the lovely
seaside resort of Tossa de Mar.

With
the system "Model's Book on Holiday"
Pigmalione, professional fellow of the photography
and of the image, announces an innovative idea
as economic key and as concept of production
of books for models who still do not own an
album of photos fruit of recent services.
The models' book are not produced in a single
and plain session, as normally it happens, but
throughout a whole week during which the models
reside in the Spanish villa of the photographer
in Lloret de Mar, a vibrant tourist small town
near to Gerona, in Catalonia, so being able
to take advantage of their period of holidays
in a sunny and lively seaside place and at the
same time to have a "diversified"
book produced through many photographic sessions
organised by the photographer in interior and
in outdoor locations.
A week of free holiday for a model is a significant
saving that it allows her to invest on a book
which, moreover, conceived in this way, has
decidedly low costs, since structures and workflow
are studied for 6 models per week who divide
not only the logistic expenses but also the
organization of timing, the work of the professionals
of support and the administration of the necessary
tools for the execution of photo shootings that
otherwise would be more expensive.

THE
CONCEPT OF THE BOOK
Pigmalione is a photographer because he likes to
be such and he wants to obtain images that really
transmit the character of the models capturing the
essence of their expressions. He is not parsimonious
in the number of the photos taken to be able to
arrive at the desired result. A model, in a single
session of 3 or 4 hours can express herself, it
is truth, but never as in a week of life in common.
Besides, the situations and the locations that can
be exploited in 6 days are clearly superior to those
of some hours. A sequence of clicks in the swimming
pool when sunbathing all together, another series
at the beach, one in the garden, one on the terrace,
one during a visit to an architectonically interesting
place, etc. do so that the book will be comprehensive
and wide-ranging. Clearly, there will be also the
photos in studio.
A book has to be made without haste and with good
feelings. Each model will go back home with the
CD of her main photos and a few weeks later they
will receive nine photos worked in post-production.

THE
ACCOMMODATION
The models lodged weekly in the house of Pigmalione
will be six (exceptionally maximum seven).
The accommodation is provided in two beds
rooms with bath in common.
It is essential to understand that this is
not a hotel service but hospitality as the
true meaning of the word and so that all the
services of the house are used and managed
in a mutual way as it is done when somebody
is hosted in a friends' house.
Although each model is free to manage her
own life and her own time as she prefers,
it is necessary not to ignore the rules of
the "life together". To create a
friendship environment at home does not mean
only to go shopping, cooking and to eat together
but also to go out to keep amused in company
being so enriched with good memories and new
good friendships.
The hosts will have to bring their own sheets,
pillowcase and towels to avoid having a supplementary
laundry expense.
THE
COST
|

All
models know how much might them cost a professional
book done by a good photographer and how much might
cost to board for one week in Lloret de Mar. Without
taking anything out to one of the two elements,
Pigmalione will give all these at 400.00 Euro. And,
of course, without sacrificing anything of the way
of living the holiday by the models that will be
able to do what they want … or better…
perhaps; there are some limits not to go beyond:
THE LIMITS
According to the rules of the good hospitality,
the models are not allowed to receive visits in
the house of Pigmalione. Not even they can go too
far in the consumption of alcoholic drinks and they
cannot make use of drugs. If minors, they will have
to be at home within 11.00 p.m. unless authorised
in writing by their parents.

In the southernmost tip of the Costa Brava and
only 70 kilometers from Barcelona lies Lloret
de Mar, a broken coastal relief with cliffs more
than 100 meters high. Granite rocks descending
into the Mediterranean Sea form coves with the
most incredible opportunities for diving and other
water sports.
Situated in La Selva County, the Costa Brava
landscape is dominated by dense pinewoods that
stretch out to the coastline.
Lloret de Mar is considered to be the most important
tourist resort in Spain featuring a myriad of
sporting facilities and an extensive variety of
shopping, leisure and culinary opportunities added
to the cultural, scenic and architectural delights
the town has to offer. During the day tourists
can enjoy the beaches and water sports such as
swimming, scuba diving, boating or practicing
paragliding.
The interesting network of narrow shopping streets,
full of colorful gift-shops and boutiques offer
the perfect opportunity to shop for handcrafted
or designer items at reasonable prices.
Many restaurants offer gala events or dinner
shows with flamenco and medieval acts included
as standard entertainment.
To try the conventional flavors of Catalonian
cuisine such as arroz negro (black rice flavored
with squid’s ink), suquet (fish and potatoes)
or crema catalana (similar to the French creme
caramel) it is strongly recommended to venture
into the back streets and taste the local cuisine
where fish and shellfish add their flavor to game
and to products from the fields. Broad beans,
peas, cod salad (“esqueixada”) or cold
roast aubergines, onions and peppers (“escalivada”)
are some starters not to be missed. Chicken or
rabbit with seafood, sea bass, gilt-head bream
or prawns make up interesting second courses.
Cold meats with “pa amb tomaquet” (bread
with tomato), very typical from the region, round
off any menu.
Among the most traditional desserts, seasonal
fruits such as strawberries, peaches, oranges
or watermelon make their way to every table. And,
of course, in Spain it is said that nothing brings
out the flavor of a delicious meal better than
wine. Lloret de Mar is no exception, with a great
variety of fine wines from which to choose.
As far as eating out goes, Lloret is awash with
international bars and restaurants serving everything
from good old English pie and
Italian food to cheap
ones.
Several hotels and restaurants organise dinner
shows with flamenco and cabaret acts. Hotel Guitart
Central Park has a nightly flamenco show during
high season and La Masia, five kilometres from
Lloret at Tordera, puts on a popular Catalan dinner
show with traditional Spanish music and dancing.

Exciting
nightlife is everywhere as soon as the sun
goes down, with lots of late-night bars,
restaurants, nightclubs, flamenco shows,
a casino and, of course, the famous Gran
Palace Cabaret. Lloret de Mar features a
host of all-night discos offering everything
from karaoke to flamenco.
The entire city is constantly bursting with
late night music bars, discos and nightclubs.
Two dance floors discos, multiple bar establishments
and impressive laser shows all set in themed
surroundings are just about the norm in
this Costa Brava resort.
Big name DJs make their home at Lloret de
Mar bringing the newest themes of house,
mellow, trance, swing, hip hop and retro.
Some very exotic discos feature glass dance
floors with an aquarium underneath your
feet and decorated with exotic birds, large
palm trees and bamboo cabins.
One of the best known clubs is Tropics which
has two dance floors, five bars and impressive
laser shows all set in elaborate tropical
surroundings. The disco attracts some big
name DJs each summer and provides music
for all tastes - house, mellow, trance,
swing, hip hop and blasts from the past.

Bumper's
Disco in Placa del Carme is a Caribbean style
affair with tropical palm trees (some more than
a hundred years old) and a glass dance floor with
fish underneath your feet! The tropical birds,
cocktail bar and bamboo cabins all add to the
"Jamaica Mon" ambience.
The Hollywood Dance Club is another popular all
night haunt open from 10pm till 5am.
During the summer months, reps of the top clubs
in town tour the streets thrusting free tickets
at beautiful young things (especially those who
happen to be female and trendy with it).
On the road to Blanes you'll find Casino Lloret
de Mar where you can risk your money at the gambling
tables which include French and American roulette,
blackjack and chemin de fer. The casino stays
open until 4am on weekdays and until 5am at weekends.
