Itria Valley (in Italian: Valle d'Itria)
is an area located in Apulia, region in
Southern Italy. Itria Valley spreads over
the Provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto,
and coincide with the lower part of Murgia
upland (Low Murgia). It is famous for
the "trullis", the typical ancient
Apulian small round houses of stone with
a conical roofa, for the vineyards from
which they obtain high quality white wine,
such as Locorotondo DOC and for the large
amount of olives from which they obtain
high quality olive oil.
In the heart of Itria Valley, the residencial
hotel “Il Palmento” is a pictoresque
hamlet of approximately thirty "trullis"
by the extremely thich walls that keep
the interior warm in winter and cool in
summer.
After a careful restoration carried out
respecting the old shape and original
materials, the complex now offers elegant
and refined suites provided with every
comfort and matching the traditional style
